This page explains what data Podium collects, why, where it lives, and how you can remove it. Plain English, no legalese - if anything here is unclear, email us at paddock@f1-podium.com.

What we collect

  • Account basics: your email address (required to sign in and to send transactional email), display name, and an optional profile image you upload.
  • Game data: your podium picks per race, league memberships, leagues you own, computed scores, and notification preferences.
  • Authentication data: a hashed password (we never store the plain text) and an active session cookie so you stay signed in.
  • Technical logs: a dedupe record of notifications we've sent you, so we don't mail you the same thing twice.

We do not collect payment details, phone numbers, device location, or contacts.

How we use it

  • Run your account and keep you signed in.
  • Score your picks and rank you on leaderboards and in leagues.
  • Send transactional email (verification, password reset, email-change confirmation).
  • Send notification emails you've opted in to (deadline reminders, race results, league activity).
  • Measure aggregate traffic and feature usage so we can improve the product.

Where your data lives

Podium runs on Cloudflare and uses a small number of named providers:

  • Cloudflare - hosting (Workers), database (D1), and cache storage (R2). Data is processed in Cloudflare's global network.
  • Resend - transactional and notification email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering the message.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager - aggregate traffic analytics. GA4 is configured with IP anonymisation and does not receive your email or display name. We do not run ad pixels, retargeting tags, or any third-party marketing scripts.

That's the complete list. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

Cookies

  • Session cookie - required to keep you signed in. Set by our authentication library (Better Auth). Without it, you can't use the app.
  • Analytics cookies - set by Google Analytics 4 to identify unique sessions. They contain no personal identifiers on our side.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • See your data - most of it is visible in-app (Settings, Leaderboard, Leagues). For anything you can't see, email us and we'll export it.
  • Correct your data - update your display name, email, or profile image from Settings.
  • Unsubscribe - toggle off any notification type in Settings, or click "Unsubscribe from all" at the bottom of that section.
  • Delete everything- Settings → Delete account wipes your user row, which cascades-deletes every associated record (picks, session, league memberships, owned leagues, notification logs). This is immediate and irreversible.

Data retention

Your account data is kept as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed immediately. Backups maintained by Cloudflare may persist for up to 30 days before being fully overwritten.

Age limit

Podium is not intended for people under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email paddock@f1-podium.com and we will remove the account.

International transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate globally. Your data may be processed in regions outside the one where you live. We rely on the standard contractual clauses published by those providers for international data transfers.

Changes to this policy

If we start collecting anything new, or add another data processor, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll also email the address on file.
